So, you've got a pill bottle that's feeling a bit chilly, huh? Well, fear not! Today, we're diving into the whimsical world of knitting to create a cozy little home for your trusty pill bottle. Grab your yarn and needles, and let's get crafty!
What You'll Need:
First things first, gather your supplies. You'll need:
- some fingering weight yarn in your favorite color (because even pill bottles deserve a pop of personality) I used Dream Car from the Koigu Barbie World Collection.
- 2.0mm and 3.00mm knitting needles (either circular or DPN)
- a pair of scissors
- a tapestry needle for weaving in those pesky ends
Getting Started:
Using the 2.00mm needles, cast on 52 stitches using the long tail cast on or any other stretchy cast on to fit a Publix brand bottle. If you have a different bottle, then you will have to measure your bottle to get it's size and then cast on from there. Knit a gauge swatch in k1, p1 rib using the 2.00mm needles and then calculate how many stitches you need. Mathing isn't fun, but you will likely have to do it if you have a different bottle than me.
Once you have your cast on, join in the round place a marker and then do 10 rows of k1, p1 ribbing.
Switch to the 3.00mm needles and work 10 rows of stockinette stitch.

Bind off loosely.
Weave in all your ends.
Trim any excess yarn, and voila – your pill bottle now has a stylish new outfit!
Whether you're looking to add a touch of flair to your daily routine or simply enjoy a fun knitting project, crafting a cozy for your pill bottle is a delightful way to flex those creative muscles. Plus, it's a great conversation starter – who knew a pill bottle could be so fashionable?
