Mountain Cabin Kitchen Cloth Set - Free Crochet Pattern

Mountain Cabin Kitchen Cloth Set - Free Crochet Pattern

I recently found a handful of kitchen cloths I had crocheted and then tossed in my FO pile. I have put them to use in my kitchen and just absolutely adore seeing my handmade goodies functional and adding a touch of heart to my countertops.

I wanted to share these patterns with you so you too could add a touch of handmade to your home. These also make lovely Christmas gifts, so grab enough yarn to make some sets to giveaway as presents.

These cloths are functional. I didn't pay too close attention to ensuring that the cloths were the same size because I wanted them to be rustic and handmade looking. So, if yours come out different sizes, it is fine.

Materials Needed:

3.75mm crochet hook
3 skeins of Karma Recycled Cotton DK weight yarn in your choice of colors. I used:
  - Light Beige
  - Mint
  - Pale Blue
Tapestry needle
scissors

Nubby Scrubby Cloth (light beige in the photo)

Special stitches: picot single crochet - insert hook, yo, pull up a loop, chain 3, yo, pull through two loops on hook.

Chain 30

Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc across. Turn work.

Row 2: ch1, sc in 1st sc, picot sc in next stitch. *(sc, picot sc), * rep across, sc in last st, turn work.

Row 3: ch1, sc across, turn work.

Row 4: ch1, sc in next two stitches, *(picot sc, sc), * rep across, sc in last stitch, turn work.

Row 5: repeat row 3.

Repeat rows 2 - 5 until you reach the desired height. I made mine a square. This will give you enough left overs to make the Wavey Cloth.
